Embarking On A Enchanted Journey Through Moss And Mist: Delving Into Neil Burnell’s Captivating Forest Photography

“Mystical” unfolds as a captivating symphony of imagery, an ethereal photographic narrative crafted by Neil Burnell, an artist hailing from Brixham, United Kingdom. This entrancing series casts a spellbinding spell upon the viewer, conjuring the exquisite allure concealed within the misty and fog-laden landscapes of Wistman’s Wood in Dartmoor, Devon, England.

Embarking on this sublime journey 8 years ago, Neil Burnell has since been graciously sharing an enchanting collection of photographs that breathe life into landscapes imbued with a bewitching ambiance.

“Mystical” stands as an ongoing photographic odyssey, a profound exploration of Wistman’s Wood over the past 5 years. Through this series, we peer into the enchanting realm brought to life by the dense fog, gnarled trees, and moss-covered stones that define the otherworldly essence of Dartmoor’s Wistman’s Wood.

Frequent sojourns throughout these recent years have afforded me the privilege to unveil the myriad facets of this woodland sanctuary, often concealed from prying eyes. Gradually, my photographic approach and post-processing techniques have evolved, culminating in a juncture where I’m now elated to unveil the latest gems in this series. The ultimate aspiration was always to showcase this series to the world, and it fills me with pride to realize this dream through a collaboration with Taylor Jones & Son.
