It is surprising that in spite of a modest turnaround time (typically 15 years to grow a miracle of nature), yet the couple partners rife. Perseverance and hard work, of course, and a great passion for gardening, Peter and Betty have earned the respect and recognition of Japanese bonsaists whose tastes so finicky and refined that it is almost impossible to please. And the followers, in turn, modestly respond to such statements, they do not care is still very far from their mentor – an inspired and talented self-taught Axel Erlandson.
