In his series titled Flatland, Turkish photographer and digital artist Aydın Büyüktaş bends the terrain of landscapes from different locations in Turkey and the United States as if they were sheets of paper. Something we easily associate with the iconic movie Inception.
For that, he had the help of drones and 3D digital resources. The result is dreamlike images that still hold much of the reality. Maybe that’s why they interfere so much with our sensory experiences. Maybe that’s the reason they mess with our sensory experiences so much.
